The Journey Begins

We left Calgary on    October 31st 2014 just ahead of a blizzad that brought 2 ft of snow and -19 temperatures. We managed to lose our 5th wheel after 4 blocks!!

Oak Flats Campground about 40 miles east of Pheonix, in the hills just behind Superior AZ. We explored a number of boondocking sites in the area but this one felt like home. There was a nice meadow outside the campground proper that would handle a rig our size without needing to back up - a major consideration at this stage in our journeys.

racehorseRacehorse Creek is a tributary of the Oldman River and one of our favorite camping spots in southern Alberta. The location is aobut 20 miles north east of Coleman on Ab Hwy 940 - the forestry trunk road that eventually leads into Kananaskis Country.

kimberleyAfter a month in a trailer Park in Oliver it was nice to get back to boondocking just outside Kimberley BC. Our campsite is on an old airport with amazing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

virginVirgin is a very small town located about 5 miles from Zion national park. From what I understand we camped at the closest free camping to the park.
